Outreach:

Proceeds from the Opportunity Quilt Drawing provide Needle Arts education for the membership and community at large and, in addition, provide grants and scholarship to schools and individuals interested in promoting the Needle Arts.

The Guild enjoys a strong record of philanthropy and leadership in the community and has donated countless quilts and wearable items to area charitable organizations, hospitals and patients.

2011 was a banner year for Outreach. Over 100 pillowcases were sent to the troops working at the military hospital in Afghanistan. Over a dozen quilts were donated to the wounded warrior program. There were "chemo caps" and premie blankets donated to local hospitals, and at the Holiday time we donated over 2 dozen small decorative Christmas Trees for local convalescent hospital.
